My mission is to remind people that every day is full of beauty. It may not be sunshine and roses but it is precious, right now.
After numerous attempts and in my fifth decade of life, I am finally practicing what I coach.
My husband and I now reside in Vermont with a mission to live a Life Salted. We invite experimentation and creativity into our days. We are slowing down, savoring and bringing awareness to each moment. Sprinkling one grain at a time, we enhance the flavor of our lives.
It has taken us over a decade, but we are finally here.
In my forties, I realized the many traumas and losses in my life taught me to be quite efficient at surviving. I could expertly make it through the day but where was the joy?
I was disconnected and preoccupied.
Joy was shoved in the back of a drawer, just out of reach, waiting for someday.
I worked as a pharmacist at the breakneck speed in a big box store. I began healing and searching for more. I turned to yoga first. My personal practice helped give me a new perspective and connection to my body, in addition to self-love.
The feeling of there has to me more than getting by, grew. Although yoga showed a way, I knew I wanted to keep my personal practice sacred, I knew becoming a yoga instructor was not my answer. Then I found, and fell in love with, coaching. I completed the year-long Functional Medicine Coaching Academy certification course that sat for the exam to become a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.
